The U15 team competed in their first team tennis fixture of the 2023-24 season on Thursday 18th April, against The Grammar School At Leeds.

The weather proved very challenging, but the students showed fantastic perseverance and determination when dealing with the wind and rain, and still managed to keep smiling.

After the singles play was completed, the teams were tied (both schools had won 2 sets each). The doubles followed, and although there were some brilliant rallies and lots of deuces, GSAL managed to come out on top, winning both sets.

Well done to all of the students who competed – hopefully the sun will shine in our next fixture against Silcoates on Thursday 2nd May!
