Wakefield Girls’ Hits The Slopes

10th April 2024

Students had a wonderful time skiing and socialising with their friends during the annual ski trip to Folgarida in the Italian Dolomites. The trip was run by Max Ski, who provided excellent ski instructors to support our students whether they were newcomers to the sport or well-seasoned on the slopes.

Folgarida is without doubt one of the best places to ski in Northern Italy.  The ski area is extensive, and is set in the heart of the breathtaking scenery of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Folgarida is perfect for skiers of all abilities because it has a wide and very gentle beginner area, along with more challenging red and black runs; there’s plenty of scope and challenge for all levels of skier to progress.

The town itself is small and safe enough to allow students to visit the supermarket, gift shop or pizzeria after skiing. Our students enjoyed plenty of fun in the snow –  delicious hot lunches on the mountains, going off piste, building snow people as well as making lots of progress on the slopes.

Thank you to our instructors for making the week so enjoyable.
