On Friday 15th March we were delighted to welcome Helen Coupland-Smith and Carlo Mencattelli to Wakefield Girls’, both experienced teachers, trainers, examiners and authors and founders of Time2Resources.

Helen was Head of Business and ICT in a large secondary school in the North of England and has expertise in writing accessible, dynamic and imaginative resources used by Google, Peter Jones Academy, Pearsons and many more. Her experience as a senior examiner, moderator and vetter across a number of leading exam boards makes her the perfect person to advise our students on how to best approach their business examination papers.

Similarly, Carlo has worked as Head of Department in a variety of schools. Carlo is currently a Principal Examiner and Principal Moderator for Edexcel and has a wealth of experience examining and moderating across exam boards. 

They both gave invaluable insight into exactly what examiners are looking for when they are reading exam papers, and how to earn additional marks simply through their essay-writing technique. We are extremely appreciative to Helen and Carlo for joining us in Wakefield Girls’ and for sharing their expertise with our Year 11 business students.
