Juniors Learn in Forest School

20th April 2023

It was a gorgeous afternoon at Forest School today, sun shining through the tree leaves, ferns beautifully uncurling, shoots popping through the soil and our students developing their physical motor skills, self-confidence and awareness in the natural world.

In our Forest School we provide lots of excellent activities which encourage controlled risk-taking and develop skills that work across our wider curriculum.

This year, our Junior girls have been making mallets.  This has involved bow saws, billhook knives, whittling knives along with lots of teamwork, negotiation, collaboration and leadership skills !
