Welcome Head Girl Team 2023/24

28th March 2023

Every school year, there comes a moment that brings excitement and anticipation for all students and staff.  This moment is the announcement of the school’s Head Girl, Deputy Head Girl, and Senior Prefect Team. These esteemed positions come with significant responsibilities and play a crucial role in fostering the school’s culture and values.

The Head Girl, Deputy Head Girl, and Senior Prefect Team serve as excellent ambassadors for Wakefield Girls’. They embody the school’s ethos and values and demonstrate their commitment and drive in all their endeavours. They represent the school at public-facing events and showcase the school’s excellence and achievements to the wider community.

Moreover, the Team acts as a voice for all of the students, ensuring that their concerns and opinions are heard and addressed. They work tirelessly to support the staff and provide valuable insights that help shape the school’s policies and practices.

As role models, the Head Girl, Deputy Head Girl, and Senior Prefect Team offer valuable support and guidance to all students. They show the importance of empathy, compassion, and inclusivity, making sure that everyone feels valued and included.

We are delighted to announce the 2023/24 Head Girl Team:

  • Clara Elliott, Head Girl.  Clara has shown herself to be very approachable, tenacious and a good leader, participating in many activities around school from being a Form Prefect to assisting with costumes for our annual theatre production.

  • Abbie Gatenby, Anna Reynolds, Bayan Yousif, Holly Bestwick, Khadijah Sarwar, Kumbi Katema, Lucy Crook, Mariella Shuttleworth, Mia Crecraft, Tiffany Djagnikpo, Senior Prefects.
