This morning, Year 7 students took a trip to Leeds to visit MathsCity. MathsCity is a hands-on interactive experience devoted entirely to mathematics and its applications. This was a great opportunity for Year 7 to experience the fascination and power of Mathematics in person and get enthralled with the subject. The importance and influence of mathematics in today’s world is everywhere you look, from helping us describe nature, explore space, combat pandemics and climate change and much more. 

Students got the chance to explore over twenty interactive exhibits, including climbing inside a giant bubble, building a giant Leonardo Dome and trying out a laser Ring of Fire!
