This week the Junior Section has been celebrating Children’s Mental Health Week. This has involved many different activities in each year group, linked to this year’s theme “Let’s Connect”. As always, students have been encouraged to talk about how they can connect with others in healthy, rewarding and meaningful ways.
The week ended with Feel Good Friday, which was a non-uniform day to raise money for a children’s mental health charity “Place2Be”. Place2Be provides mental health support for children in schools, through one-to-one and group counselling.
The students made compliment t-shirts, inspired by positive comments they felt were qualities they saw reflected in their friends. The highlight of the day for many students was the tasty treat of a heart-shaped cookie!
