Over the weekend of 28 and 29 January, Head of Music Mrs Bentham and music teacher Mr Meredith  joined up with the Wakefield Music Service to deliver an Orchestral Weekend.

Four of our student musicians, Isobel Skinner, Eiliyah Pervaiz, Maisie Cunliffe and Evie Wright, were also involved working alongside other students from the Wakefield Authority to create an orchestral performance of music from the films ET and The Phantom Menace.

Both directors on the course, Mr Meredith and Mrs Bentham, assisted by 15 members of the West Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra, combined the enthusiasm and determination of the 40 young musicians with the experience and encouragement of the older players to produce a spirited and moving performance for the parents and carers who attended our Sunday afternoon ‘sharing’.
