Student Socials

15th December 2022
We firmly believe that knowing how to eat healthily, sleep well, exercise, manage stress and relax are every bit as important as other academic aspects of school life.  And, approaching Christmas after a term of working hard, it was time for some relaxing and social time with friends.

Year 7 enjoyed a Christmas Party in Jubilee Hall – it was wonderful to see new friendships blossoming after only three months of coming together as one year group.  Mrs Phillips, Head of Year 8, invited Year 8 students to Rassams Creamery Wakefield to enjoy a sweet treat and spend some time with their friends.  They had no trouble polishing off the pancake stacks, sundaes, cookie dough and waffles they had chosen while they enjoyed a Christmas-themed quiz and generally having a great time.  Year 9 also followed suit with Head of Year, Mr Shaw, after hearing fabulous reports and they too, enjoyed an evening of fun with friends.  Older students in Year 10 chilled out at our Happy Cafe in Willows, enjoying hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows together and with Head of Year, Mrs Maher.   Our Sixth Form students headed further afield for a Winter Illuminations walk at Yorkshire Wildlife Park and ice skating at the pop up rink at White Rose.

The richness of relationships helps create our confident young women, ready for what lies ahead, including academic excellence !

Thank you to our Heads of Year and teams.
