Student Union – Leadership in Sixth Form

8th November 2022
Every year, we are delighted to support our newly elected student union team as they develop their ideas, passions and leadership skills in our Sixth Form. We speak with newly elected President, Bayan, on her hopes and ambitions:

” As a student union, our main aim is to improve and maintain a welcoming environment for all the students in the Sixth Form. By working together as a team, we drive changes within the Sixth Form in order to meet our aim and hopefully spread these ideas to the rest of the school. Whether the issue is large or small, we hope that we can amplify the voices of our peers and make any changes necessary for making our community a safer and more accessible place to be.

We have student officers, passionate in different areas, who lead on helping to make a difference in school – these areas include:  Diversity and Inclusion, Disability, Environmental and Ethical issues, Charities, Events, Sports and Wellbeing.  Along with the help of the vice president, treasurer and media officer, I think that our team will do a great job of helping the Sixth Form be as best as it can be whilst also having fun. As the president, I hope that I can fulfill this role and complete our aim with the help of the team, whilst also making sure that we enjoy the year ahead.”
