Year 3 scientists have been learning all about rocks and soils. They were all very excited to further improve their subject knowledge and take their learning outside of the classroom with an investigative visit to Meanwood Valley Urban Farm.
Year 3 had a great time discovering more amazing facts about different rocks and soils, carrying out different investigations, having a go at lots of practical work and taking a real life, hands-on dive into how some types of rocks are formed. Students also made an amazing wormery to bring back to school in order to watch how worms move through soil and live underground. We will be returning the worms back into the soil when we’ve observed them for a couple of days to let them get back to where they belong to !
