Welcome to Sixth Form

29th September 2022
We welcomed our new Year 12 students beginning their Sixth Form journey with us at the first of many fun team building events – an adventure day at Ripley Castle with High and Low Ropes, Axe Throwing and Zorbing.  The trip proved to be a great way for everyone to get to know anyone who is new to the school and also to strengthen friendships.   Thanks to our Y12 spokeswoman who reported that all the activities were really fun, especially the Axe Throwing and Jacob’s Ladder, which she felt improved her teamwork skills.  The shop was also a highlight, especially with the ice cream!

Year 13 visited and reconnected at Dalby Forest, choosing between Mountain Biking, Forest Segway and Treetop Challenge.  Year 13 feedback included: “I really enjoyed the day! It was so fun and before we went I wasn’t convinced we could ‘bond’ or ‘get closer’ with people after 7 years of knowing them however, at the top of the large jumps and zip lines I really got closer to the people I was with. The day was incredible and made me do things that I would never normally do and feel closer on the whole to everyone I was with too.”

We’re ready for a great year !
