New Catering & Menus

20th September 2022

We are delighted to introduce a new and thoughtful food service this academic year, offering students sustainable, locally sourced and freshly prepared handmade meals they can enjoy every day.  We understand the impact a healthy diet has on these important years of development and have appointed Holroyd Howe as our catering partner. We have all been very much enjoying the vibrant menus of deliciously tasty classic and innovative dishes that have been prepared for us with care and attention to nutritional benefits.

John Kirwan has been appointed by Holroyd Howe, as the Foundation’s Catering Manager. John will be the main point of contact between Holroyd Howe and the Foundation. John has worked in catering for over 27 years, beginning his career as a Trainee Chef before moving into various roles as a Head Chef. For the last 13 years, John has been involved in Catering Management. John has worked in contract catering most of his career and joins the Foundation from the Royal Armouries in Leeds, where he was Head of Operations.

“The shared vision for myself and Holroyd Howe is to provide pupil catering across the Foundation and introduce a range of healthy and nutritional foods that look and taste fantastic. It is our aim to ensure that we have a service culture that is warm and friendly which encourages students to enjoy their meals. It is important that during lunchtimes we are supporting pupils to make new positive memories of their experience throughout their learning years.

We are committed to engaging with the student councils for each year group and will work in partnership with them to develop the food offer over the coming months and years.”
