On 4th July we welcomed  Hannah Robinson, PHD Civil and Environmental Engineering student, Leeds University to Wakefield Girls’. Hannah joined Year 10 Design & Technology students, delivering an inspiring workshop about ‘Building a Greener World’.  As part of this fantastic hands-on session students got to test blocks of cement, clay and cement composites to destruction, in an attempt to establish the most suitable material for various construction applications.
