History

Ethos of the Department

We aim to enable our girls to achieve the best possible results in public examinations, but we are equally concerned to promote an interest in the subject itself, making our girls conversant with all the skills offered by History, as well as providing them with the background necessary to an understanding of the world and its culture.

In our teaching we aim to ensure our girls understand the subject and enjoy learning about it by using the best of both modern and traditional methods and equipment.
