Harvest Festival

17th October 2023

This year we had a slightly less traditional Harvest Festival. Instead of food donations, we invited the children to bring in items such as facewash, toothbrushes and toothpaste, lip balm, moisturiser, flannels and fluffy socks. These gifts will be used to make up care packages for families who are staying in Leeds Hospital or Wakefield Hospice. It is just one less thing for them to have to think about and little gestures and acts of kindness can make a difference when a family is going through a tough time.

We were astounded by the amount of gifts we received, along with monetary donations which will be split between the two charities.

The Head Boy and Girl Team spoke confidently and the Girls’ Junior Choir sang beautifully. The children are proud to make a difference and showed great kindness and empathy with their contributions to these charities.
