Remembrance Day

10th November 2023

On Friday 10th November, Wakefield Grammar Pre-Preparatory School took a moment to pause and remembered the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community, from the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth. This is ahead of Remembrance Sunday this weekend.

At 10.30am, our school community came together for a Remembrance Assembly, where we listened to moving poems read by our Head Girl and Boy, alongside readings from members of staff. We spoke about the important sacrifices that these selfless men and women made, to protect our country and the values and freedoms that we maintain.

At 10.59am, the school bell rang and we observed a two-minute silence to think about all that we had discussed.
