JS Science Week

10th March 2023

QEGS Junior Section boys enjoyed an action-packed Science Week with trips, visitors, competitions, shows and so much more to inspire our young scientists of the future. Here are a few of the highlights from the boys in years 3 to 6.

On Monday this week, Dr Brookes and Mrs Taylor came over from the Senior Section to show us some exciting science experiments!

Later that day, the boys teamed up with senior section scientists to go head to head in the Inter House Science Competition.

In the evening, we hosted a Dads and Lads Science event in the senior section chemistry lab. Boys and their dads had to complete a forensic investigation using science to solve a crime – here are some of the highlights!

‘The National Space Centre is a space museum that has lots of amazing things. There is one part that has a life size rocket and you have to go up 144 steps to go up there or just go up in the glass lift. The space centre has the Soyuz made by the USSR. The best part for me was the film. It was like a cinema and it felt like you were in space.’
