While we subscribe to the view that academic achievement is only one aspect of life at QEGS, we are incredibly proud of our students and the way their results consistently compete with the very best in Yorkshire.
This year, we were delighted to announce another strong set of A Level results with a majority of boys set fair for a diverse range of exciting university courses and apprenticeships at top institutions around the country.
The impressive results are a fitting culmination to the 2021 leavers’ time at QEGS.
Jonathan Osunde (pictured above) and Joseph Gueli are both going to continue their studies at Cambridge University in the fields of Architecture and Law respectively.
Twins, Ben and Dan Cousins are both going to their first choice universities. Having studied the same subjects at A level, Ben is going to York to study Geography with a year in industry, with Dan heading to Newcastle for History.
And our Head Boy, Swapnil Sahoo is pursuing his dream of a career in Medicine at the University of Leicester, having been awarded a prestigious Centenary scholarship at the start of his studies.
Overall, 38% of boys achieved the top A* and A grades in three or more subjects. The vast majority of boys will go on to study at their first-choice university, attaining places on the most prestigious courses, including Medicine, Law, Architecture, Mathematics, Aerospace Engineering, Economics, Computer Science and Business Management. We also have boys beginning apprenticeships with top Financial firms, following rigorous and highly competitive selection processes.
