Head’s Welcome
Hello and welcome to Wakefield Grammar Pre-Preparatory School. I think I speak for everyone at the school when I say what a delight it is to be able to introduce children to the joys of learning from Foundation Stage 1 up to Year 2.
Our aim is to give every pupil the best possible foundation for life and all pupils are given every encouragement to explore, to be creative and to ask questions as they develop the individual talents and skills that will prepare them for everything they will go on to achieve.
Every day around the school, I see pupils who are confident, happy and engaged as they begin to realise the full nature and extent of their own unique potential. For my part, I fundamentally believe that a love of learning begins with a love of books. If a child takes pleasure in reading, then education as a whole becomes more accessible. That’s why, every day, we inspire, motivate and engage our pupils through high quality texts.
Starting school is of course a big step, so we pride ourselves on working closely with families to ensure that the needs of all pupils are carefully met so that each child can experience school life to the full. I look forward to meeting you and preparing your child for the fascinating and enjoyable school journey that lies ahead.
