Today, our Year 1 and 2 students participated in an engaging Health and Wellbeing workshop, delivered by SCARF, a specialist in developing children’s mental and physical health. The workshop forms an essential part of our PSHE curriculum and aims to equip students with valuable knowledge about taking care of both their bodies and minds.
Throughout the session, students engaged in a variety of activities designed to enhance their understanding of personal health. They learned about the different parts of the body, explored their feelings, and discussed important topics such as the significance of sleep and the benefits of exercise on both physical and mental health. This helps to foster their social and emotional development.
The students also explored their mental health by working with the Zones of Regulation, which helps them identify and understand their emotions through different coloured zones. They also learned about the Wheel of Five Feelings, which offered strategies for managing emotions and supporting their peers.
This hands-on, interactive workshop provided students with valuable life skills they can apply in their everyday lives. We would like to express a big thank you to Life Education Bradford for facilitating this workshop and inspiring our students to take better care of themselves and those around them.
