Year 1 Visit Yorkshire Wildlife Park!

13th June 2024

The children in Year 1 had a wonderful day out at The Yorkshire Wildlife Park on Friday 7th June.

Each class took part in a Fur, Feathers and Scales workshop led by Jade. She was impressed with their knowledge about mammals, fish, birds, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. The children learned new things about omnivores, herbivores and carnivores. They met African snails, giant cockroaches and a snake called Matt who was 17 years old and very friendly!

They saw a host of animals including baby wallabies, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, lions, polar bears, a baby rhino and monkeys to name but a few! It was a wonderful day, the children listened well, asked excellent questions and were very good ambassadors of Pre-Prep.
