On Wednesday 7th February, we invited families of Year 1 and Year 2 children into school for the second session of the Key Stage One Family Numeracy Programme. This programme is run by White Rose Education and has been designed to create a positive learning experience for both adults and children through a series of engaging, activity-based sessions.
This free of charge programme is delivered over three sessions, with parents and children exploring fun and practical ways to approach mathematics together. Parents will be provided with strategies for supporting their children’s mathematical development at home and will develop a deeper understanding of key numeracy concepts taught in school. The shared learning experiences help to strengthen the parent-child bond and helps to foster positive attitudes towards mathematics.
This session focused addition and we would like to thank the families who attended with their children, and White Rose Education for another engaging session.
