On Wednesday 13th December, the children were treated to a delicious Christmas lunch with all the trimmings, which they enjoyed in their Christmas jumpers. Holroyd Howe, our fantastic catering team produced a festive feast, with cookies and beautifully iced cupcakes for dessert.

In the afternoon, our families were invited to attend ‘Carols by Candlelight’ in the school hall. The Head Boy and Girl Team told us in loud, clear voices what Christmas means to them, from how they celebrate Christmas to what treat they leave out for Father Christmas. The Year 2 children sang a selection of Christmas songs, and to finish all the families joined in to sing ‘Away in a Manger’ by candlelight.

Our PTA team (FOPPS) ran a cake sale, raising money for their funds which help to provide extra curricular resources and experiences for our children. The children collected donations and we are delighted to have raised £100 for Wakefield Hospice and Leeds Hospitals Charity.
