This week, our enthusiastic FS1 class enjoyed their fantastic Festive Workshop, welcoming both children and their families into school for a range of fun and seasonal activities. We were delighted to host parents in the FS1 classroom over two mornings, creating a wonderful opportunity for families to share in their child’s learning.
The children immersed themselves in activities designed to be both fun and developmental. They practised the tricky task of wrapping presents, which helped them significantly develop their coordination skills. For a literacy focus, they honed their language and fine motor skills by identifying characters in a nativity scene and creating beautiful Christmas cards. They also improved their handwriting and spelling by carefully writing out their names on gift tags. Everyone had lots of fun getting messy while using salt dough to create their very own unique Christmas decorations to take home. To round off two brilliant mornings, everyone enjoyed a special treat of hot chocolate and biscuits.
A huge thank you to all the families who joined us and made the FS1 Festive Workshop such a great success!
