Learning and exploring in our Forest School

15th November 2024

Yesterday, our students in year 4 embarked on adventurous learning in our Forest School, plunging into the wonders of the great outdoors! Surrounded by towering trees and the soothing sounds of nature, they were given the chance to explore a magical learning environment sparking curiosity and also boosting both physical and mental wellbeing.

With their spirits high, the students set up camp, diving into hands-on activities that tested their coordination, creativity, and teamwork. They practised essential life skills like independence, responsibility, and, of course patience as they carefully watched the small bonfire, waiting eagerly for their marshmallows to caramelise to perfection.

This exciting monthly event is a thrilling departure from the classroom routine, offering a refreshing opportunity for our students to connect with nature, engage in practical problem-solving, and immerse themselves in the world around them. By stepping outside, they discover the power of adventure, learning to stretch their limits, embrace challenges, and work together as a team in the most inspiring of settings.

At Forest School, every moment is a chance to learn, grow, and uncover the magic of the natural world!
