On Friday 8th December it was a very exciting day as our Foundation Stage 2 children went on their first school trip!
Setting off just before lunchtime, the year group travelled to Leeds Playhouse by coach, to watch a performance of Roald Dahl’s ‘The Enormous Crocodile’.
The story centres on the Enormous Crocodile as he starts to feel a bit peckish… This crocodile is the greediest croc in the river, so satiating his appetite is a challenge. What should he have for his lunch? The crocodile gets hungrier and hungrier as he is searching for a feast.
This brilliant story, which has been loved by children for decades, was a delight for our FS2 children to watch. They have been brilliant listeners for a wide variety of stories so far this year – so it was great for them to see one of their stories come to life with wonderful acting and stage production, in a beautiful theatre.
