On Wednesday 7th June our children from Foundation Stage 1 and 2, made the short walk over to the Games Field to compete in Sports Day!
A highlight of all the children’s year, this annual event is a fun opportunity for the children to run wild and have a go at a variety of different activities. The children were divided into ten teams, competing alongside their fellow House members. They participated in a carousel of eight activities, each five minutes long, alongside getting two rest breaks.
Activities included a shuttle run, beanbag throw, football dribble, a catching circle, hurdles, quoit balance, speed bounce, obstacle relay, egg and spoon race and a beanbag balance.
Dressed in their sports kits adorned with their House colours – it was a great sight seeing all of the children with big smiles on their faces as they competed alongside their friends to win House points. We were delighted to see so many of our parents and carers attend the event, and so eagerly cheering on their children from the sidelines.
Congratulations to Blue House who accumulated the most House points and won this year’s EYFS Sports Day, and well done to all children who participated! Everyone had lots of fun, and we are certain every child will sleep very well this evening.
