Yesterday marked a fantastic occasion as we welcomed our incoming Year 7 pupils into the Senior Section for their transition day ahead of joining us in September.

The day was packed with exciting activities designed to help them settle in and feel part of the QEGS community. From meeting their form tutors to taking part in team-building challenges and enjoying some fun lunchtime games with our Year 10 students, the new starters embraced every moment with enthusiasm and energy.

They also received a wonderfully warm welcome from both staff and current pupils throughout the day, creating a positive and friendly atmosphere that truly reflected the spirit of QEGS.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special — your support, kindness, and encouragement went a long way in helping our new Year 7s feel right at home.

We already can’t wait to see them again in September — it’s clear they’re already a brilliant part of our school community!
