QEGS Students Honoured with Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards at Buckingham Palace

15th May 2025

A huge congratulations to Year 13 students Henry, Dan, and Harris, who were recently presented with their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards at a prestigious ceremony held at Buckingham Palace.

The trio had the honour of meeting HRH Prince Edward, recognising the remarkable commitment, perseverance, and hard work required to achieve the Gold standard of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

It was a memorable day, with the students celebrating their achievements in the glorious spring sunshine — a fitting reward for their dedication to the DofE programme.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is one of the UK’s most respected youth development schemes, challenging young people to grow in confidence, resilience, and leadership through a variety of personal and community-based activities.

We are incredibly proud of Henry, Dan, and Harris for this outstanding accomplishment.
