AKS Lytham 15-43 QEGS Wakefield

7th October 2024

QEGS Wakefield delivered an impressive performance, defeating the previously unbeaten AKS Lytham 43-15. A blistering start saw QEGS score four tries in the first 22 minutes, with Sam Wood crossing the line for a hat-trick. By halftime, QEGS had established a commanding 31-5 lead.

In preparation for their upcoming Continental Tyres National Cup 3rd round fixture against Hill House, Head Coach Mr. Wolfenden made several rotations in the second half. While this led to a slight loss of momentum, QEGS regained control in the final 20 minutes, adding two more tries through strong attacking play. Throughout the game, QEGS maintained a high standard of defensive discipline and pressing, keeping AKS Lytham at bay.
