We were delighted to hand the stage to over 175 students from Wakefield Girls’ and QEGS who united as 33 musical groups, showcasing their musical talent for friends and families in our two part Foundation Summer Music Concert, the finale for this academic year.
All of our varied musical groups have practised diligently throughout the year, always ready to raise the roof at any of our concerts. The Final Foundation Summer Music Concert is always a highly anticipated and special event, hosted at Queen Elizabeth Hall in QEGS over the duration of the two evenings. The groups performing include our Senior Orchestra, Junior Concert Band, Flute Ensemble, Intermediate Strings, Major Minors, Clarantella, Sax Ensemble, Glee, Senior Concert Band, Electric Ensemble, String Ensemble, Quintessential Brass Quintet, Barbershop, Funk Band, Cantabile, Swing Band, Brass Band, Double Reed Seniors, Double Reed Juniors, Percussion Ensemble, Year 7 SHINE Choir, Training Orchestra, Nonsensical, Folk Band, Senior Strings, Electric Ensemble 2, Foundation Chorus, Horns in Hats, Acoustic Guitar Ensemble, Mantabile and Swing Foundation.
Many thanks to all of the performers, directors, stage crew and SALT who were all essential to the success of the concert.
