The Sixth Form Community

Students who have reached the pinnacle of their school career at QEGS are recognised as role models within the school community, characterised by self-discipline, independence and mutual respect.

The Sixth Form Centre is an expression of these principles. Bright, spacious and airy, the Sixth Form Centre has its own café serving hot and cold refreshments throughout the day with areas for relaxation and socialising.

It provides the focal point for the development of a community spirit based on principles of self-management and collective responsibility, and where lifelong friendships are forged.

The Sixth Form ICT Suite and Learning Resource Centre are both easily accessible from the Sixth Form and are convenient for constructively using free periods for individual study, especially during Year 13. Students are also able to use the Sixth Form facilities at WGHS, with WGHS Sixth Formers welcome in the QEGS Sixth Form Centre.

The Sixth Form meet as year groups each week at a Year Group Assembly as well as being part of whole school assemblies, ensuring each student is well informed. Students meet with their Personal Tutors twice a day within their tutor group, which offers the possibility of 1:1 advice and guidance.
