Physical Development

Children find out about the world through exploration and at Mulberry House Nursery, we help develop childrens' coordination, control, manipulation and movement.

Our big, fully secure playground is equipped with a large canopy that allows boys and girls access to outdoors play year round - whatever the weather!

There are a wide range of activities including a sand pit, playhouses, climbing frames, a planting garden - plus bikes, scooters, tunnels and balls - all of which encourage physical development, social interaction, exploring and investigating.

A PE lesson is held every week utilising the WGHS Sports Hall - the Hartley Pavilion. During these lessons, activities aid in the development of childrens' throwing, catching, running and teamwork skills.

At the end of the Summer Term, Nursery holds its own Sports Day, providing the perfect opportunity for the boys and girls to be introduced to simple, competitive races appropriate to their age.
