Moving through the final stages of Primary school is exciting for children and marks the closing of one chapter and the start of a new phase in their lives. Children recognise they are growing up and before they know it, the transition to secondary school will be upon them bringing excited anticipation but also uncertainty.
Our Aims
Growing up and thinking about the future can be daunting, not knowing who you are yet, exploring new thoughts and trying new things. At QEGS, we understand boys – we know what makes them tick. We believe that the key to successful transition through the final stages of Year 5 and Year 6 towards a new future at secondary school is helped by building those skills that all boys need – confidence, compassion, self belief, team work, communication and creativity. Our Make HIS Story event has been specially designed to empower boys to build the confidence to ‘give it a go’, to craft their own story and build their individual character, confidence and independence.
