Over the Easter break, pupils and staff embarked on another unforgettable adventure to the snow-covered slopes of Val Thorens for the annual Ski Trip – and what a trip it was!
After smooth travels from Manchester, the group arrived in the stunning French Alps, greeted by clear skies and crisp mountain air. Excitement was high from the very start, with pupils eager to get out onto the slopes and begin what would become a week filled with challenge, growth and plenty of fun.
Each day on the snow brought its own highlight. From first-time skiers bravely tackling their first runs, to more experienced pupils honing their technique on trickier terrain, every slope was met with enthusiasm and good humour. The shared sense of achievement and camaraderie grew stronger with each descent, turning runs into memories and wipeouts into laughter.
But the experience didn’t stop once the skis came off. Apres-ski activities brought another dimension of enjoyment – from traditional sledging to the adrenaline-fuelled thrill of snow tubing. These moments off the slopes offered a chance for pupils and staff to unwind together, forming stronger bonds and enjoying the mountain environment in new ways.
Throughout the week, the spirit of the trip remained high, with pupils displaying resilience, respect, and a fantastic sense of fun. The Ski Trip continues to be a highlight of the school calendar – not just for the scenery and sport, but for the way it brings people together and creates lifelong memories.
A huge thank you goes to all the staff who made this experience possible and to our pupils, who represented the school with maturity and enthusiasm throughout. Val Thorens 2025 – a trip to remember.
