It has been an excellent week for sport, with our teams achieving impressive results across netball, rugby, and hockey.
Netball:
A huge congratulations to our 1st VII Netball Squad, who secured a fantastic victory against Yarm in the U19 SNS National Cup this week. With this win, they progress to the fourth round. Mrs Manson described the team’s performance as “awesome,” reflecting the energy and skill on display.
Rugby:
The rugby teams also delivered outstanding results. Our U14 Rugby Squad battled hard to beat Prince Henry’s Grammar School 26–0 in the National Cup, earning them progression to the next round. Meanwhile, the U16 Rugby Squad produced another brilliant performance, defeating a strong St Peter’s side 57–19. With back-to-back away wins, the boys demonstrated impressive consistency and teamwork.
Hockey:
In hockey, our 1st XI secured a 3–1 victory over The Grammar School at Leeds (GSAL) in Round 1 of the ISHC. Vice-Captain Maddy led the way with a hat trick, ensuring the team’s progression to face Hill House in the second stage of the round-robin.
Well done to all our players this week!
