U13s Vase Champions at Caldicott National Schools’ Tens

The U13 rugby team delivered an outstanding performance this weekend as they competed in the prestigious Caldicott National Schools’ 10s Tournament. The competition brought together top schools from across the country and beyond, offering a highly competitive environment with a strong international presence.

The team faced a challenging initial group stage, opening their campaign with a convincing victory over the Prep School Rams. Their second fixture was a closely contested encounter against RFC Aviron Bayonnais, a well-drilled side from France. Despite a determined effort, the match ended in a narrow 10-5 defeat. The morning’s fixtures concluded with a tough test against Dubai College, a team that would go on to claim the tournament’s Cup title.

With the group stage complete, the team progressed to the Vase competition in the afternoon. Demonstrating great resilience and teamwork, they recorded impressive victories over RGS High Wycombe, Taunton School, and Merchiston Castle, securing their place as Vase Champions.

This achievement marks a fantastic conclusion to the rugby season, highlighting the team’s progress, determination, and skill. Congratulations to all involved for their hard work and commitment throughout the tournament.
