QEGS pupil Charlie has set himself an inspiring challenge in memory of his late Grandma Jean, raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Determined to make a difference, Charlie is running 100km in just 20 days. He has already completed 20km and raised an impressive £405 so far, with donations continuing to come in through his JustGiving page.
Speaking about his motivation, Charlie said: “I really enjoy running so thought I’d put it to a good cause and raise awareness for Alzheimer’s.”
The Alzheimer’s Society provides vital support to individuals and families affected by the disease, as well as funding research towards better treatments and a future cure.
Charlie’s efforts are a fantastic example of using personal passion for a wider cause, and the whole school community is proud of his determination and compassion.
