This week, students from all year groups came together in solemn observance of Remembrance Day, engaging in assemblies and special activities to honor those who served. The day was marked by heartfelt reflection and a shared commitment to remember the sacrifices made by many.
A significant highlight of the day was a moving service led by Alistair McKinlay and Revd Dr. Philip Hobday, who guided students and staff through a thoughtful commemoration. Their leadership added depth and meaning to the proceedings, inspiring everyone present to reflect on the importance of remembrance.
During the service, a memorable performance of The Last Post was delivered by Will, whose perfect rendition brought a quiet poignancy to the occasion. This powerful tribute underscored the solemnity of the day, creating a shared moment of silence and reflection across the school community.
Additionally, Jacek, a student from our Junior School, contributed a beautiful, hand-painted memorial artwork. This thoughtful piece was a fitting tribute and a wonderful addition to our service, capturing the spirit of remembrance in a unique and personal way.
Today and every day, we remember those who served. Lest we forget.
