Our dedicated Year 6 Eco Monitors embarked on a short trip to the Wakefield Recycling Centre to delve into the world of waste management. Led by their enthusiastic teachers, the Eco Monitors had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the process of handling and recycling our rubbish.
During the visit, pupils gained insights into the importance of proper waste disposal and recycling practices for environmental sustainability. They explored the various facilities at the recycling centre and witnessed firsthand how different types of waste are sorted, processed, and recycled.
The experience was both educational and eye-opening, allowing our Eco Monitors to understand the impact of their actions on the environment and the crucial role they play in promoting eco-friendly habits within our school community.
Through initiatives like these, we continue to empower our pupils to become responsible stewards of the environment, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to make a positive difference in the world around them.
