QEGS Enrichment and Development programme (QED) is designed to add that vital edge to what is already a high-octane academic diet. Increasingly, top universities and employers are crying out not just for high grades but also for those sparks of creativity, resilience, teamwork and leadership which differentiate the best from the rest; QED is designed explicitly to foster these.
Every pupil at QEGS, from Year 7 to Year 13, is involved on Wednesday afternoons. It is a chance for them to customise a small corner of their timetable by choosing from a wide range of activities led predominantly by QEGS staff both on and off site.
A rich feast of activities, by any stretch of the imagination.
Pupils take part in up to five different blocks during the year from a stimulating and exhilarating menu of over 100 activities, including such gems as animation, bush craft, circus skills, dog training, Indian cookery, kayaking, Lazertag, mountain biking, Pilates, sculpture, touch-typing or Ultimate Frisbee. Pupils of all ages have the opportunity to mix and enjoy activities together, as well as unearthing hidden talents which might otherwise lie dormant!
