Monday saw our U15 WGHS Hockey Squad deliver an impressive performance in the Sister in Sport Cup tie against Silicates. Outstanding team passing and relentless pressing created multiple scoring opportunities, with Eva netting all three goals to secure a 3-0 victory and a place in the third round. A fantastic display of teamwork and skill!
Wednesday afternoon brought a tough day for our 1st XV Rugby Squad in the National Schools’ Cup quarter-final against Campion. After taking an early lead thanks to a well-taken try from vice-captain McCann, the home side responded strongly, scoring 18 unanswered points. QEGS fought back with a late consolation try but ultimately fell short, 18-14. Despite the narrow defeat, another strong cup run and a quarter-final appearance is a commendable achievement for the team.
Meanwhile, our U18 WGHS Netball Squad enjoyed a successful evening with two convincing wins. Senior debuts for Dulcie C, Isla T, and Heidi S made the victories even more special, and the girls thoroughly enjoyed their time on court.
