End of Half-Term Highlights

16th October 2025

The new Head Boy teams have settled into their roles admirably, already showing thoughtfulness in their leadership. Junior pupils have embraced opportunities to contribute, from the House General Knowledge Quiz and outdoor adventures to discos and the joyful Harvest Festival. Year 12 pupils have begun their Sixth Form journey, stepping confidently into new challenges and continuing to aspire toward personal and academic growth.

On the sporting front, the our U14 Cricket Squad gave a fantastic account of themselves in the Yorkshire Cup Final, while the 1st XV remain in the National Schools’ Cup, heading to St Joseph’s full of confidence. It has also been a busy term for our X-Country runners who have represented the school valiantly at a number of events across the Wakefield area.

Achievements in the classroom and beyond have been just as inspiring. Prize Giving recognised pupils who have applied themselves with dedication, while the Annual Art & D&T Exhibition showcased imagination and creativity. Alumni visits gave pupils an inspiring glimpse of life beyond school, encouraging everyone to broaden their horizons. Assemblies highlighted accomplishments across the curriculum, celebrating the ways pupils support one another and grow together.

This half-term has been a vivid reflection of what makes the school special. We are incredibly proud of pupil efforts and look forward to the next half-term – full of opportunities to learn and grow.
