Harry has been recognised with one of the highest honours in Scouting – the Cornwell Badge – for his extraordinary strength, resilience, and determination.
Awarded by the Scout Association, this prestigious accolade is reserved for young people who demonstrate exceptional courage and devotion to duty. The badge is named after Jack Cornwell, a young Scout and Royal Navy sailor who was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross for his bravery during the Battle of Jutland in 1916.
Having faced significant personal challenges with unwavering determination, Harry’s achievement has been widely celebrated. He was recently featured on the BBC for his inspirational story and received a special video message from Chief Scout Dwayne Fields, who praised his positivity, resilience, and Scouting spirit.
During assembly, he proudly shared his award with the school community, where staff and students alike recognised his remarkable achievement. His journey continues next month, as he and his family will be honoured guests at the Scout Association’s achievement event at Windsor Castle.
We are incredibly proud of Harry and his outstanding accomplishment—his bravery and determination inspire us all!
