Junior Section immerse themselves in Science Week

29th February 2024

To kick-start Science Week, our Junior Section took part in inter-house Science. Tasked with creating the strongest paper table, our houses had to design and build tables with the help of Senior Section pupils using simple materials such as paper, scissors and sellotape – they also had to be a minimum of 30cm!

All four houses produced unique and interesting designs, with each one being tested by placing 100g weights on top until they collapse.

After rigorous testing, it was the green of Cave that produced the sturdiest table, holding a whopping 900g, followed closely in second by Freeston at 88og! Well done to all that took part, it was a very close contest indeed.
