Year 5 have started their topic ‘Up the chimneys and down the mines.’ They were thrust into Victorian life with an immersive trip this week to Armley Mills in Leeds. They all dressed to impress in their Victorian wardrobes and got to experience life as a Victorian school child and mill worker for a day. They will continue to investigate what the Victorians did for us through the exploration of daily work, lives and leisure pursuits of the Victorian era.
