On Tuesday morning, Years 9 and 10 from both QEGS and WGHS enjoyed a French play of ‘A Haunted House’. Spoken only in French, the play was superbly performed by only 2 actors, accompanied by sound effects that were also controlled by the actors. Not only was the play understandable but the acting took it to a whole new level as the plot became crystal clear. With scenes of excitement, horror, humour and tension this play had everything and was made even better with the arrival of a student going on stage. This acting was absolutely hilarious and made the play even better which seemed tough to achieve yet by the end of the play, most of the boys, girls and even some teachers were crying with laughter and a pinch of fear after a supposedly ‘dead’ woman came back to haunt the house and its occupants. But, this play was absolutely brilliant and really enhanced our language which we can take into our future GCSE’s.
