Y3 and Y4 Meet the Brass Family

There has been a real buzz around the Junior Section this week and I am not just talking about the Y3 and Y4 boys walking around school practising their ‘lip buzz’ after the fantastic ‘meet the brass family’ session we had recently. This was to introduce the various brass instruments we have available for lessons within school and the boys absolutely loved it!

Taster sessions with no charge are available for the boys to try these instruments and Mr Thompson explained to them about his love of listening to brass bands around Christmas time (He even conducted one in a castle once…but that is another story), asking any boys who choose to take up an instrument to come and play for him in his office in mid-December.

Boys should have received a letter regarding this but please do ask at the school office if you would like further information.
