The final day of term saw our school community come together for a brilliant celebration of diversity, showcasing the rich tapestry of heritages and traditions that make our schools so special. The event was a resounding success, fostering a wonderful sense of unity and mutual understanding across all year groups.
Pupils enthusiastically took the lead in sharing their backgrounds through a variety of engaging activities. The highlight for some of our senior students was the delightful array of international cuisines prepared by students and their families, offering a delicious culinary journey around the world. The atmosphere was further electrified by traditional dance demonstrations and a captivating ‘cultural catwalk,’ over at WGHS where pupils proudly showcased attire from across the globe.
Beyond traditional heritage, the day also celebrated the diverse personal passions of our pupils, from sporting interests to creative hobbies, reflecting the unique identities that form our vibrant and ever growing school community.
The spirit of friendship and collaboration was felt throughout, creating a warm, welcoming environment for everyone. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed food and shared their traditions to make the day so memorable.
